We were here....

If you have an off-road Vehicle you need to drive off-road!  Here you find information about the Events we have been!

Excursions to the Terrain:

Yes the definition Terrain is difficult. For one, which leaves a tarred street and go on forest way, will tell they went off road. Others must drive through a river bed with 70 km/h or climb 101% of upward gradients to get a off road feeling.

Because I use my G for the everyday transportation to work, I take a little bit more care about my car than others

Nevertheless, the danger exists. With every excursion off road you learn what your car can do for you. Up to now I never had (and I hope I never ever will have) taken the Car to its limit. I have sometimes come to my personal Limit ... the so-called Diapers limit ...., but the car can far more. Here are my tips..

The most important thing is to slow down. Take it easy !

Stay away!

Keep your distance to your front vehicle. Drive through a passage when your car can stand behind the danger zone.

Keep enough safety clearance to the next car.

High Spirits– Respect!

Fear or "heartbeat" is OK, it belongs to drive off-road. If you don't have respect to the danger anymore, you might brake your car.

No means no!

If you don't want to drive a trail, don't do it. You are there to have fun, not to break your car ! You don't have to show anybody, how your car will perform !

4x4 wheeling is Teamwork!

No car will pass all passages without any problem. Some will solve some situations better and other cars wont get there. Use Teamwork. Instructors will show your way, and pulling someone out of the mud is part of the experience and the friendship to other drivers. Some day your are sitting there, trapped and want to get a helping hand.

Protect the environment !

Take your waste with you, don't dump it there. Stay on the marked roads if possible. Don't hit trees, I did it once and my car had more problems afterwards than the tree.

Deep diving!

It is simple, you don't have a boat ! First have a look how deep the waterhole is, or look when someone in front of you drive through the hole. Look at the tires, they are a good indicator since they are between 60-70 cm in height.

Otherwise step out and have a look. Take a branch or something to control the depth first. Drive in slowly, not creating a wave, and then with constant speed through

Technical Devices!

Locks, low range, 4x4 , downhill control etc. are Aids to help you driving off-road. They should help you ! Try out when to use them. Put them in before you approach the obstacle

Right tire Pressure !

Normal pressure in tires is good for on-Road, but nit for off-road. Lower the pressure to get more traction. - 0,2-0,4 Bar per Tire at a minimum.

Towing material!

At a deep dive, attach it to your car before you drive through the water. You can hang it inside you window for instance. If you get trapped there, you throw it out to your rescuer
Winde

Winch!

Not a must! Depending what you want to do with the car.
